Those Crazy Ladies in the House on the Corner

2008-2009 Season
September 5, 2008 - September 14, 2008

It's time to start our 60th anniversary season, and the initial production is Those Crazy Ladies in the House on the Corner by Texas playwright Pat Cook. John Woods has cast TCTC newcomer Eukie Greutink with two familiar TCTC actors as the three sisters known as Those Crazy Ladies in the House on the Corner. Greutink will play Dora Miller, while Judy Eckeberger and Judy Griffin will be seen as her sisters Maggie Brown and Lydia Van Horn, respectively.

All but one person in the cast of Pat Cook's comedy lives in Tyler, including Suzanne Alford, who recently moved here from California with community theater experience in San Francisco and Yosemite. Alford will play the script's mystery lady, known only as Jessie.

Michael Root will be seen as Lydia's grasping son, Phillip, while Rob Carter plays Dr. Arnold ("Doc")Lomax. The doctor's nurse and sisters' boarder, Jean Mitchell, will be played by Leah Crawford, while her real-life brother, Owen, takes on the role of Blue, the ditsy grocery boy. Completing the cast is Justin Purser of Lindale as Calvin, Jean's boy friend.

Pat Grubbs and Tom Young are the play's producers. Suzan Chapman and Shirley Jenkins will work props, while Deborah Crawford, Leah and Owen's mother, will be in the tech booth.

Those Crazy Ladies will open for a 10-performance run on Friday, September 5, 2008.
